I use ceramic from NIC and have had good luck with it. I only use glacier black. I don't offer other colors unless the customer is willing to purchase all of the ceramic. I never seem to use it all when someone wants a one off color and it doesn't stay good for more than 6 months to a year.
I would use ceramic on Diesel stacks. I've done a few of them. We took IR readings before hand. Just driving around town it got super hot 500* plus. I can't imagine how hot it would get when towing.

I use a mix of sharp shot(copper slag) and green diamond. I buy it locally from company that sells a ton of different blasting products. I think sharpshot is $10.00 per 100lb bag. The green diamond is $25.00 for 500lbs.
I use wire through a small washer then feed that through the valve stem hole. People will wonder how you hang them because everything will be coated with zero bare spots. Make sure you get a few different sizes of washers. Valve stem hole sizes vary.
