Re: New oven build

You can put in a larger breaker but one needs to check the rating on the wire feeding the oven to see what it can handle?

Re: smc/fiberglass valve covers?

Thanks for that info even though I have never ran up on that type of product that someone wanted to know if I could coat it. Some time back I had also read about a product like "rans-prep" but not sure what the name of it was?

Never know when your info may help someone.

Thanks for your post :D

Re: Wiring torpedo heater to see. Please help

With you being the only one that has tried to heat and oven with that type then I don't think any one can help? My main questions is if you plug it in will it fire up on its own or do you have to push in a button? I am guessing it might have a knob that you turn to set the amount of heat it will put...

Re: Help with building my oven

Why would lower be better duke? I have mine in the center of the oven, on the back wall, about 3/4 of the way up from the bottom. My elements are recessed into the side walls. Looking good wesp! The insulation should help big time. Like I said and mounting a TC is all guess work just make sure it i...

Re: I’m late to the party

Welcome! Post some pics of the oven at some point. I have yet to figure out how to upload myself. 😁 Posting pictures a kind of easy but if they are taken on your device then they need to be made smaller like one would send to a cell phone. But most guys post them from other links and might copy and...

Re: New oven build

Anyone seeing anything wrong? I can see the pictures but not very well. After photobucket started charging even for a small account that use to be free most every one left them and then if you are not a member any longer then it takes long time at least for me to even open the page so there is no w...

Re: New oven build

Ok that makes sense... I'll take the two legs of the 240v and switch them withmy2 poleswitch... and power my pid (240v is acceptable) from the 240v line in. That way the pid is powered when plugged in and I can switch both legs of the 240v. I am not sure I understand what you say you are going to d...
