There are two different guys that had the same problem. One lost a bike frame the other lost a corvet rim

I knew alot of strippers will eat magnesium but was the bike frame mag?

I never said the chemical itself destroyed the frame. Supplier I was thinking of for the original poster is the same as Bikemike links to a few posts back.

I know Jeff,.... Just throwing the responsibility thing back at the guy who wanted to blame the company he bought it from,.... :) It's all good.

WOW, I remembered it that he used B17. Had I known that about it being the same stuff I would not have posted it. BUT, it does say be careful of aluminum.

B17 is mostly methylene chloride right? Would MC on its own be useable as a pc stripper? Might be a place near me that sells mc. Used to be $65 for 5 gallons. Ill get more info if this is a realistic solution. Also, where I work we use a MC based industrial strength brush on paint stripper that I used on pc once, and worked quickly-under 5 minutes. I can send links to the distributor. If someone wants to mail me a test panel I can also test strip it. I dont have my oven built yet, so I havent really been able to test it out that much.
